This building was a small barn constructed in the early 1940's on a rutabaga farm in Britt, MN. The barn was just large enough to have two cattle stanchions, a pig pen, some chicken coops, and a hayloft above.
The building was constructed with hand hewn logs running vertically. The second floor hay loft was then framed with red pine poles acting as studs. The whole structure was then covered in Dutch lap siding. |
